ABOUT The EMAHOY TSEGE MARIAM MUSIC PUBLISHER

The Emahoy Tsege Mariam Music Publisher has four goals:

  1. To extend Emahoy’s legacy by preserving more than a hundred musical compositions and manuscripts of hand- written music notes. The Publisher will commission musicians to transcribe Emahoy’s notes, as well as sound engineers to preserve the earlier home recordings and digitize them from reel-to-reel tapes to contemporary digital formats to provide access to all music lovers, and to Emahoy fans, in particular.

  2. To generate funds for the Emahoy Music Foundation to make the nonprofit sustainable so it does not have to rely on grant funding or external donations (except for the donations from Emahoy fans and music lovers who wish to support the organization’s mission).

  3. To collaborate with musicians and music labels and expand the listenership for Emahoy's music.

  4. To publish her unpublished works written for piano, violin and organ in classical, opera and gospel genres.
